Dear Diary,

This week evryone at school gets a free book from the Government!  I wonder who'll be visiting the school to give us our books?  Maybe our local MP?  The Mayor?  The Prime Minister???  I can't wait to find out!!!!

Dear Diary,

Today our class got to go to the library and choose which books we wanted for Book Offer Three!  I'm always excited to see what sort of books we'll be choosing from.

Now all I have to do it wait for seven weeks and I'll be able to have more of my very own books!

Dear Diary,

Today is Bastille Day.  It's sort of like Waitangi Day but for French people.  I had 'pain au chocolat' (chocolate pastry) for morning tea today...yum!!!

This is the last week of school holidays so I'm going to make the most of it.  I'm looking forward to getting back to school next week so that I can choose my next lot of Duffy books!

Dear Diary,

There are so many things happening right now!  We've just had the New Zealand Post Book Awards.  One my friends won a book called 'The Were Nana' because he's been working so hard on his reading this year!

Next week is Government Book Week - I wonder if I'll get to meet the Prime Minister?
