Welcome aboard!
We'd love your Early Childhood Education (ECE) centre to become one of well over 100 centres already taking part in this exciting new programme.
Being a Duffy Ready for Reading centre means more than just handing out books to children. Our centres play an active part in fostering a love of books and reading in their children - preparing them to experience a lifetime of reading pleasure. Each centre appoints a Duffy Coordinator who will drive the programme and coordinate a variety of events throughout the year. These include:
- Distributing and collating book order forms
- Organising Book Offer celebrations to present books

There a few simple criteria to meet to become part of the R4R programme:
- Your centre must be chartered or registered
- The centre must have an equity rating of between one and four OR be in close proximity to an established Duffy school
- Your centre will be able to pay the annual administration fee - this varies depending on the number of children you have enrolled
- You will have a staff member who will have a passion for the programme and will want to become the school's ‘Duffy Coordinator'
- Applications must be received by the last Friday of October to be eligible to join the programme in the following year
