Brock Ashby
Musician
Hey my name is Brock Ashby and I’m a 21 year old singer songwriter originally from Christchurch but now based in Auckland. I was part of a band called Moorhouse that was on the first season of X Factor and placed in the top 4. We went on to produce an album, 5 songs of which I had songwriting input on, and tour around various locations in New Zealand. I am now endeavouring on a solo project and am recording new music as we speak.

I have just started TV presenting on the 4:30 show on TV2 as their music and entertainment reporter and am loving it. I also love fitness, nutrition, fashion and believe it or not, reading. Dr. Ben Carson has been a massive influence on me since I met him in Christchurch lin 2014. I have now substituted TV for books and will never look back. Captain underpants would have to be my ultimate favourite book of all time growing up as a kid. And how could I look past Goosebumps? Or Hairy Mclairy from Donaldsons Dairy? Reading is important, so you better start now!
