Jenny Salesa
Politician
Jenny Salesa was sworn in as the new Member of Parliament for Manukau East, in the 51st Parliament on the 20th of October 2014.
Jenny is the Spokesperson for Employment, Skills and Training for Labour. She is also a Member of the Education and Science Select Committee. She attended the University of Auckland and graduated with a BA/LLB in 1996.
Jenny has 20 years’ experience working in policy and funding, working as a health specialist, and as a senior official in the Health and Education sectors. Jenny was formerly the Principal Advisor Pacific at the Tertiary Education Commission.
She is married and is the mother of two daughters. Jenny has a strong interest in ensuring positive health and educational outcomes and ensuring equal opportunities and better outcomes for all.

Housing is a central issue to the people of Manukau East and this is her immediate focus at the local level. In addition she will concentrate on the issues of employment, education and skills in her first term in the 51st Parliament.
